We are not alone, even as we try

February 15
We are not alone, even as we try so desperately to make that sadness come true.
We are not crazy, even as we watch the world take everything we ever gave it, use it to make themselves feel better, and then throw it back in our faces and say it doesn't work and always has and never can again.
We are not broken, even though we threw ourselves a thousand times against the rock bottom because it wasn't deep enough for us to hide the fires of our hate for everything which is really just a hate for one thing: ourselves.
A wise poet and holy fool once said, We die, as we dream, alone.
But my dreams are full of all the people I want to be and all the people that can help me find them.
My dreams are filled with a loving darkness that wants me dead because the only way we can be alive to the Truth is to die to ourselves, to stop fighting everything but despair, to give in even to that just before we cross the finish line because the friend we hurt is not going to make it without us suffering too.
My dreams....my dreams are your dreams too. We are all born alone, but we can die all in the same place, together in love.
And that place?
That place is right here.
